Poutine

September 20 – 21, 2014: Over the weekend we attended our friend’s wedding, which was lovely, and started to explore Calgary.

FUN FACT: The wedding we attended was for a friend I met on this Nicaragua trip. We’ve also traveled to El Salvador, Honduras, and Jamaica together.

We enjoyed strolling around Prince’s Island Park and the Stephen Avenue area. However, I would be remiss if I did not make our first Canadian post about poutine. Poutine is a Canadian specialty – French fries topped with cheese curds and gravy. It is obviously delicious. We enjoyed our first poutine at Craft, a beer bar in downtown Calgary.
