A Small Taste of Wyoming Beauty

June 20 – 22, 2016: Departing Colorado, we headed north into Wyoming and stayed at the Vedawoo Campground in the Medicine Bow National Forest that was surrounded by large rock formations that were similar to Joshua Tree National Park.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

June 8 – 10, 2016: Upon arriving, in the early evening, at the south rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, we stopped at a viewpoint for our first glimpse of the 2,000 feet deep canyon that this national park protects.

June 7 – 8, 2016: After hiking the dunes in Great Sand Dunes National Park, we headed to Elevation Beer Company in Poncha Springs, Colorado before retiring to our campsite on the Arkansas River in Salida.

Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos

May 31  – June 6, 2016: After departing Chaco Culture National Historic Park, we headed towards Albuquerque. We spent a few days in the Albuquerque / Santa Fe / Taos area and enjoyed a sampling of the culture and activities as well as a fantastic visit with family (whom took the time to show us around).
