Corvettes and Caves in Kentucky

December 8 – 9, 2014: Our first stop in Kentucky was at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. This stop was in honor of my dad who has a 1969 Corvette. The museum had some decent exhibits but the best part was checking out the historic cars and viewing the sinkhole that, just this year, swallowed some of the cars.

The next morning we partook in the Historic Tour at Mammoth Caves National Park. The tour was an easy, two mile, well-lit walk through large cave formations. No scrambling over rocks or headlamps required but tons of history was shared by our tour guide. We won’t be adding this national park to our top ten list but it was nice to get back into nature again.
